Before you start
- You need a recovery-phrase account. Staking SOL from a Ledger or Trezor is refused for now.
- Keep some SOL unstaked for network fees.
- Rates are estimates. The rate shown is network-wide, before the validator’s commission.
Stake
- Open Earn and choose Solana.
- Choose Stake SOL. Kyro creates a stake account in your name, and only you can manage or withdraw it.
- Pick a validator. Names are declared by the validators themselves and not verified, so look at commission and status too.
- Enter the amount and review.
- Confirm with your password in the system window.
A commission above 10%, or a delinquent validator that has stopped voting, gets a second, reinforced confirmation.
Wait for activation
A delegation activates at the start of the next epoch. An epoch lasts about two days.
Get your SOL back
- Choose Deactivate on the stake account.
- Wait out the cooldown: at least one epoch, about 2 to 3 days, and longer if a lot of stake is moving at once. There are no rewards during it.
- Choose Withdraw. It goes to your own address.
Risks, plainly
- There is no slashing on Solana today, so your stake is not confiscated.
- A bad validator costs you rewards: high commission or downtime.
- SOL can lose value while staked, and you wait days to move it.
- The server can misreport validators. Kyro’s Rust core still decodes what you sign, and refuses authority changes and lockups.
Kyro takes no fee on staking. This guide explains how the feature works. It is not financial advice. For other options, see Earn.
